Looking back at the Mike Richards trade for a moment, Brayden Schenn shared his thoughts about the deal — and his move to the Flyers — with the Philadelphia media. Incidentally, Schenn happened to be participating in Jarret Stoll’s charity gulf tournament in Saskatchewan at the time. It seems as though Wayne Simmonds has not yet been made available to Philadelphia reporters, but Schenn said, in part, “It’s a thrill, a little bit shocking to be here. … I’m thrilled to be part of the organization and history there. I’m going into a great organization that’s close to winning [the Stanley Cup] and that’s what I’m excited for.”
