Jack Johnson’s postgame thoughts…
(on the timetable of agreeing to his contract extension…)
JOHNSON: “I think the end of October. We would meet periodically. It was actually kind of fun. It wasn’t any kind of burden at all. It was just going out and playing hockey every night, and trying to play well, and letting everything else take care of itself.”
(on committing to the Kings for seven more years…)
JOHNSON: “We had talked about numerous options and situations. I have no problem committing that long. We were just trying to find something that was reasonable and fair for both sides. I think we’re both very happy.”
(on the game…)
JOHNSON: “I think a lot of guys played well tonight. We definitely needed that win. Even though, at times, it was kind of ugly, we’ll take it any way we can get it. A win’s a win.”
