GAME NOTES:
– Reign goalie Cal Petersen made his pro debut tonight. The Waterloo, Iowa, native made 25 saves in the loss.
– Wild forward Pat Cannone opened the scoring with his team-leading third goal of the season at 9:58 of the second period.
– Reign receive four-minute power play in the second period with Ryan Murphy taking a seat for hooking and unsportsmanlike conduct, but do not convert.
– Wild convert off a turnover from Reign blueliner Stepan Falkovsky as Carson Soucy blasts a shot past Petersen at 5:58 of the third period.
– Iowa’s Colton Beck completed the game scoring with an empty-net goal with one minute left in the contest.
– Cannone and Soucy each registered a goal and an assist.
