On the win
Yeah we found a way. First 10 loved it. I thought we were really good at the races, generated, got the first goal, and then let off the gas a little bit. Give them credit they’re a heck of hockey team and have some real mobile defensemen that gave us a lot of trouble tonight. I thought the 30 minutes from probably the 10 minute mark in the first through the second period we were we were just not ourselves. We were really slow and sluggish and a little bit uncharacteristic. Give the guys credit they came out got the first goal there to give us a lead which was huge. Unfortunately we give them one six on five. Then found a way in overtime is great so happy to get the win.
Getting back on home ice after playing six straight on the road
Yeah we’re excited for tomorrow. It feels like it’s been a while for sure and we get a really tough opponent tomorrow. I know the place will be rocking and the guys will be ready.

On the overtime goal and winning in overtime
I mean obviously I was the last guy back and it was kind of a one on one and we won the puck back. Gutty knew it was a two on one and I had a feeling that he was going to make the pass with his skill. I think just our character in general as a team helps us because we all want to win. Everyone wants to be the hero but it’s more of a team thing here and everyone wants to win and everyone knows what to do so it’s fun to be a part of.
On Erik Portillo
He’s been good always for us and he kept us in that game. It was obviously not our best performance tonight but happy we were able to get the win for him.

Being able to win close games
I think we just have the confidence to know that we’re able to do it and whenever we get there we know what we’re doing. We have good coaches that have good plans in place for us.
Being out in overtime
Yeah it’s great. I think I’m getting the coaches trust every day and that’s awesome. Just sticking to my game and good things will happen.
