Kings announce 2025 preseason schedule, featuring seven games in seven cities

The LA Kings have formally announced their full preseason schedule, featuring seven games played in seven different cities.

Seven games in seven cities……against three different opponents. That’s an interesting one, isn’t it? The Kings will take on the Anaheim Ducks, Vegas Golden Knights and Utah Mammoth this preseason, playing in a variety of different places, including a game at Crypto.com Arena for the first time in a couple of years due to arena renovations last season that put the team on the road for the entire exhibition slate, as well as most of October. Expecting the Kings to be at home much earlier in the regular season this fall and that includes

The full exhibition slate is listed below –

Sunday, September 21 – Kings vs. Ducks – 3:00 PM (Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA)
Tuesday, September 23 – Kings at Golden Knights – 7:00 PM (T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV)
Wednesday, September 24 – Kings at Ducks – 7:00 PM (Honda Center in Anaheim, CA)
Saturday, September 27 – Kings vs. Ducks – 7:00 PM (Dignity Health Arena in Bakersfield, CA)

*All Start Times and Start Dates are listed in Pacific Time.

The Kings will technically be the home team in three different games, including their return to Crypto.com Arena for an exhibition game for the first time since 2023. The Kings will host the Anaheim Ducks in all three games, including the game in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 4 in an early-afternoon puck drop. The Kings and Ducks will also square off in Ontario, CA at Toyota Arena, home of the Ontario Reign, in their preseason opener, the second straight season the Kings have played in the Inland Empire. The two teams will also play in Bakersfield, CA, home of the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors, in a game the Kings will technically be the home team in.

For the games the Kings are hosting, as well as the neutral-site games in Bakersfield and Boise, here’s the ticketing information as provided by the team’s official release –

Tickets for the “Empire Classic” will be available to purchase through axs.com and ontarioreign.com, and neutral site game tickets in Bakersfield and Boise will be available for purchase at dignityhealtharena.com (Bakersfield) and idahocentralarena.com (Boise).

Additional broadcast information will be released at a later date.

On the road side, the Kings will visit Vegas, Anaheim and Utah for games at the NHL homes of those respective teams. The Kings and Mammoth will also visit Boise, Idaho for a neutral-site game on Tuesday, September 30. In total, the Kings will play seven preseason games in seven different cities against three different opponents.

Expecting to see a regular-season schedule to follow after the draft and free agency, somewhere around mid-July. Normally, we’d expect to see a regular-season schedule by the end of June or very early in July, but it sounds like this season’s schedule will go later on in the summer. Hopefully some much more important news from a Kings perspective between now and then, with the team hopeful of improving the NHL roster with free agency and a pick up in trades fastly approaching.
