Event Timeline
5:22 – Team Red wins the final 4-0. Natalie Darwitz scored late, adding onto goals from Jeremy Roenick and Terry Ryan. Billy Blaise, an EBUG from time to time, with a nice showing in the final.
5:13 – Redemption for the LA Kings Development staff, as Mike Donnelly opens the scoring from distance in the title game. Early 1-0 lead for Team Red.
5:09 – Championship game is underway between Team Blue and Team Red!
4:50 – Game 2 Final – Team Red 5, Team Black 0. Terry Ryan steals the show in Game 2 and sets up a colorful final between Team Red and Team Blue.
4:47 – It is a shame that coaches Will Ferrell and Snoop Dogg will lose their debut. Entertaining, if nothing else. Snoop was the tactician, back to the drawing board.
4:40 – This Terry Ryan fella. Hamming it up. And hammering the bottom six of the 2012 LA Kings. 4-0 Team Red early in the second half.
4:33 – Team Red 3, Team Black 0 at the half.
4:30 – Derek Armstrong tucks one in as well. Just like he does every time I’ve skated with him at Toyota Sports Performance Center. AHL All-Star Classic honorary coach in 2020. NBD.
4:27 – Terry Ryan and Dany Heatley get Team Red on the board with an early 2-0 lead. Seen Heatley bury that one a few times. Going for 50 goals in 07 minutes today.
4:25 – This…..is much faster. Lot of the pros were saved for this matchup.
4:20 – Game 2 set to get underway! Team Black vs. Team Red.
4:00 – Game 1 Final – Team Blue 6, Team White 3. Actor Michael Rosenbaum of Smallville had two goals early to lead Team Blue into the championship game.
3:53 – Noah LaLonde….an actor, played AAA hockey with Honeybaked growing up, as per Elite Prospects. Unsurprising he skates twice as fast as every other player on the ice. Nice little breakaway goal for Team Blue.
Get Noah LaLonde an NHL contract! 🤯 pic.twitter.com/4AWrz5xIIl

3:52 – Team White gets on the board. Jamie Storr and Daryl Evans set up Tommy Sullivan, a first responder participating in today’s game. Maybe Toronto might have a look in another setting, but we’ll give ’em that one.
3:42 – 5-0 Team Blue at halftime. Poor Daryl Evans. Little……imbalanced haha. Would not say there was a ton of offensive zone time for the white team.

3:36 – Messier adds a goal from Theo Fleury. At one time, in this building, that would’ve been really upsetting.
3:33 – Mark Messier hasn’t played in the NHL in years but still has that vision. Nice hard pass out of the corner, like he never left.
3:32 – Game 1 is underway, Team White vs. Team Blue.
3:24 – Mark Messier and Justin Bieber take the ceremonial puck drop from Kings captain Anze Kopitar. Kopi is on the other side of enough of those, gets to drop the puck for once.
3:20 – Good on Paul Bissonnette for coming down and being a part of the pre-game festivities. He was scheduled to be here anyways for the Manchester Monarchs celebration in Ontario and took his time to come to LA first for pre-game introductions, before heading back to the IE for the Reign game at 6 PM.
3:15 – The teams are introduced and on the ice! All four teams are out there for introductions, with Team Blue and Team White expected to faceoff in the first game.
3:00 PM – Broadcast is underway on a wide variety of different places. Patrick O’Neal is leading the call on play-by-play, while Jackie Redmond and Carrlyn Bathe will be on hand for interviews throughout the broadcast. Expecting the puck to drop on Game 1 in around 20-30 minutes!
