Draft Day 1, Insiders!

For the second consecutive season, the LA Kings do not pick in Round 1, so we’re looking at a quiet night in Nashville……until we’re not, question mark?

Fine, we probably are.

That being said though, anything but a quiet draft week. For some Day 1 reading material as other teams make draft picks, sharing our three articles on LAKI regarding the trade yesterday with Winnipeg.

Also including a couple of additional interviews. Pierre-Luc Dubois joined Jesse Cohen and myself on All The Kings Men earlier today for his first podcast interview with the Kings. A few really good stories in there, including a heartfelt one on why he wore number 80 over the last couple years in Winnipeg. Believe the conversation gives a good look into the kind of person Dubois is. Really enjoyed the conversation, hope you all do as well.

Adding Luc Robitaille’s media availability from yesterday as well. Though a bulk of his time was spent answering questions in French, Robitaille has a really nice remark on why the Kings place so much value on going the extra mile for their players and how it’s resulting in players like Dubois choosing Los Angeles to commit long term. That wasn’t always the case, but it’s become more and more so over the last couple of seasons.
