The full list of tournament rosters are linked below, by clicking on the respective team name.
The Kings roster will be highlighted by three players with NHL experience – Quinton Byfield, Arthur Kaliyev and Rasmus Kupari – all of whom made their NHL debuts with the LA this past season. All three players were selected by the Kings in the first or second rounds of the NHL draft over the past four years. First-round draft picks Brandt Clarke (2021) and Alex Turcotte (2019) are also on the roster, giving the Kings four first-round selections on their roster, one from each draft from 2018 through 2021. In total, the Kings will have nine draft picks from the first and second rounds on the roster, with second-round selections Sean Durzi (2018, from TOR), Samuel Fagemo (2019), Helge Grans (2020) and Francesco Pinelli (2021) also participating in the showcase.
In total, 11 players on the Kings roster skated in all or part of the 2020-21 season with the organization’s AHL affiliate, the Ontario Reign, including Byfield, Durzi, Fagemo, Kaliyev, Kupari and Turcotte. Also included on the roster are Martin Chromiak (Round 5, 2020), Aidan Dudas (Round 4, 2018), Jacob Ingham (Round 6, 2018), Tyler Madden (Round 3, 2018) and Markus Phillips (Round 4, 2017).
The Kings posted a 1-2-0 record at the most recent Rookie Faceoff, held back in 2019, hosted by Anaheim. The Kings defeated Colorado in their second game of the tournament, in between losses against the Ducks and the San Jose Sharks. The Kings will have 10 players who were a part of the 2019 tournament, and two – Dudas and Ingham – who were a part of the tournament in 2018, hosted by Vegas.
As part of this season’s edition of the tournament, the Kings will compete against the Arizona Coyotes, Colorado Avalanche and Vegas Golden Knights. The Anaheim Ducks and San Jose Sharks will also participate in the event, which features each team playing three games over four days.
