Good Morning, Buffalo

Good Morning Buffalo and Good Morning Insiders!

The Kings touched down in Buffalo last night after a short flight from Detroit in advance of tonight’s meeting in Western New York.

The last time I was in Buffalo was the last time I was in my home state of New York. The date was May 28 and my dad and I were on Day 1 of our 5+ day trek across the country from Saratoga Springs to Ontario, CA. Day 1 of our trip was a Saratoga to Cleveland leg, with the majority of that trip occurring on the New York State Thruway, running from the Capital Region straight to Buffalo. It was just a little bit less snowy than the Buffalo we arrived in last night, but if it were to snow somewhere in May, Buffalo would be towards the top of that list.

Our final destination on that day was the Cleveland Indians – Chicago White Sox game at Progressive Field in Ohio. The White Sox jumped out to an early 5-1 lead but followed it up with three errors as the Indians came back to win 9-6. It was a scorching hot day, littered with pitching changes that led to a long game……but hey, walked away with a Corey Kluber bobblehead celebrating his 2017 Cy Young.

The Kings are not skating this morning on the back-to-back but plenty of content still to come today. Hoping everyone’s day in Buffalo is better than the fate of the Dunder Mifflin Buffalo Branch.
