Good Morning, Winnipeg

Hello from Winnipeg, Insiders! It’s the final stop on our trip. Looking outside my window at the near zero degree weather with snow flurries, South Florida – where we started this trip – feels like a distant memory. That being said Winnipeg is one of my favorite locations on the NHL circuit. The in-arena experience really makes this place a lot of fun. Bell MTS Place seats 15,321 for hockey, which creates a sort of intimate setting. Also, it’s the location of one of my favorite local hockey radio shows, the “Illegal Curve.”

I’m really interested to see how things have changed here since I was last in Winnipeg four years ago and what the atmosphere is like, now that the team is one of the NHL’s best. The Jets have one of the league’s top young cores and are a lot of fun to watch. Tonight’s game should be a good one with the Kings with Los Angeles pushing for points to finish their seven-game road-trip and the Jets pushing for first place in the Central Division.
