Audio: Quick Hits with Jeff Skinner

Since Carolina Hurricanes forward Jeff Skinner entered the NHL in 2010-11, the 25-year-old winger has posted seasons of more than 30 goals three times. Last season he set a career-high of 37 goals. This season his 16 goals rank second on the team. Since the Hurricanes traded Eric Staal in 2016, Skinner has arguably assumed the role of ‘Face of the Franchise’ and has always been a player to watch for the opposition. We talked to Skinner following Carolina’s morning skate in advance of Tuesday’s home game against the Kings at PNC Arena about why his team has clawed back into the playoff race and what former Kings forward Justin Williams has brought to Carolina after signing with the organization in the offseason.
