Audio: Quick hits with Colton Parayko

6-foot-6, 230-pound defenseman Colton Parayko is an imposing presence for the St. Louis Blues circled by many opposing teams as a player to game plan around. Clearly able to insert himself in the more rugged aspects of checking and defending, he’s also equipped with a booming slapshot and has emerged as one of the most valuable and rugged right-shot defensemen in the Western Conference. Speaking with LA Kings Insider, the former Nanook spoke with LA Kings Insider about similarities in the Kings’ and Blues team games and the blueprint behind St. Louis’ strong first periods, where they’ve outscored opponents 11-4.
