POSTGAME NOTES

–The Reign improved to 27-13-8-0 overall and 4-3-2-0 against the Roadrunners, who dropped to 22-19-5-0. The Reign are now 16-7-2-0 at home and 22-13-8-0 against Pacific Division opponents.

–Goalie Jack Campbell picked up his second shutout of the season by stopping 29 shots in his 33rd straight start (39th overall). His previous shutout came in the Reign’s first game of the season in a 2-0 win over San Diego on Oct. 15. Campbell’s record improved to 24-10-5.

–T.J. Hensick reached the 40-point mark with his goal, assist performance. His power play goal broke a 7-game goal drought for the veteran. It was his team-leading 19th power play point. By adding the assist, Hensick has a goal and five assists in the last six games.

–Sean Backman notched his 10th goal of the season and now has two goals and an assist in the last four games.

–Ontario (.664 winning percentage) remains in third in the Pacific Division behind first-place San Jose (.717) and second-place San Diego (.652).

–Ontario improved to 17-7-4-0 in games in which it scores a power play goal. Hensick’s power play goal broke a two-game power play drought (0-for-3 in last two games) for Ontario. The Reign’s power play (81.4%) is second in the AHL.

–The Reign improved to 12-3-1-0 when leading after one period of play and 20-0-2-0 when leading after two periods.

–With a goal, his 11th of the season, rookie Mike Amadio has two goals in the last three games.

–With an assist, Brett Sutter now has two goals and two assists in the last four games.

–The Reign were outshot, 29-27, and were led by Zac Leslie, Patrick Bjorkstrand and Amadio, who each had three shots on goal.

–Today is Reign head coach Mike Stothers’ 55th birthday.

All listed players are injured with the exception of Scuderi and Koules.

–The Reign enter with a 3-3-2-0 record against the Roadrunners this season. This is their ninth of 12 meetings this season and the Reign took the last game, 4-1, last Friday. This is the final game of the Reign’s four-game homestand, which they’ve gone 2-1-0-0 on so far.

–Goalie Jack Campbell looks to make his 33rd straight start. He currently leads the AHL in wins and holds a 23-10-5 record, 2.56 GAA and .913 save percentage. For Tucson, Adin Hill (13-7-4; 2.84 GAA, .917 SV%) is expected to get the nod.

–Tucson’s leaders are F Chris Mueller, who is tied for 12th in the AHL with 42 points (11 goals, 31 assists), F Christian Fischer, who is fourth among rookies with 36 points (18 goals, 18 assists) and D Kyle Wood, who is fifth among AHL defensemen with 34 points (10 goals, 24 assists).

–The Roadrunners come in last in the AHL with an average of 33.73 shots against allowed per game.
