Kyle Okposo was affected by illness over the weekend but is expected to play against Los Angeles tonight, and that’s a good thing for a Sabres team that ranks last in the NHL with 56 goals but has relied on Okposo’s team-leading nine goals and 18 points. While speaking with LA Kings Insider this morning, the St. Paul native spoke about his friend Trevor Lewis – the two were teammates at USHL-Des Moines and with the United States’ 2006-07 World Junior Championship team – in addition to Buffalo’s structure and what he’s noticed about playing with Rasmus Ristolainen, a terrific young defenseman and the Sabres’ top minutes-eater.
