POSTGAME NOTES

–The Reign dropped 6-4-4-0 overall and 1-1-0-0 this season in meetings with San Jose, which improved to 7-5-0-2. The Reign dropped to 4-4-4-0 against Pacific Division opponents and didn’t pick up a point after entering at 3-0-1-0 in their last four.

–The Reign allowed five goals for the fourth time this season.

–Mike Amadio’s point streak came to a halt after five games. The rookie had three goals and three assists during the run.

–San Jose converted on its first two power play chances and finished 2-of-4 in all. The Reign’s PK dropped to 53-for-70 (75.7 percent)

–San Jose outshot the Reign 28-24. Ontario was led by Sam Herr with five shots on goal.

–Goalie Jack Campbell finished with 23 saves on 28 shots and dropped to 3-2-1-1 on the season.

–Defenseman Rob Scuderi appeared in his second game of the season and his first in Ontario. The veteran was paired with Paul LaDue.

–The Sam Herr-Adrian Kempe-Sean Backman line had five of the Reign’s 10 shots in the opening period. Herr’s goal came on the first shot on goal of the game.

–San Jose played last night at home, defeating Bakersfield 4-1, which snapped a three-game losing skid. The Reign are in the midst of a five-game homestand and have points in their last four games (3-0-1-0).

–Reign forward Mike Amadio is on a five-game point streak (3-3=6), the longest streak for Ontario since Nic Dowd’s six-gamer a season ago.

–The Barracuda will be without two of their top forwards in Barclay Goodrow and Ryan Carpenter as the two were recalled earlier Saturday by the Sharks. Goodrow leads the Barracuda with seven goals (7G-0A=7PTS) and Carpenter has two goals and five assists.
