-With the win, Los Angeles improved to 81-80-39 all-time against Edmonton, a record that includes a home mark of 43-36-21. The Kings have won a franchise record 10 consecutive home games against the Oilers, dating back to November 3, 2011, a 3-0 loss in which Nikolai Khabibulin made 19 saves in leading the visitors to an 8-2-2 record. The Kings have won six consecutive games overall in the series and are 21-2-3 overall in the last 26 head-to-head meetings. These teams will meet again on April 4 at Staples Center and December 29, March 20 and March 28 at Rogers Arena.

-Derek Forbort (1-1=2) scored his second career goal and registered his second multi-point game of the season. He has logged at least 22 minutes of ice time in three of the last four games.
-Connor McDavid finished with two shots on goal and a minus-three rating in 21:34 of ice time. He won 3-of-14 faceoffs.
-The Kings attempted 39 shots (25 on goal, 7 blocked, 7 missed). The Oilers attempted 53 shots (28 on goal, 13 blocked, 12 missed). Darnell Nurse led all skaters with seven shots on goal and nine shot attempts, while Jeff Carter led all L.A. skaters with five shots on goal.
-Los Angeles won 35-of-62 faceoffs (56%). Among regular performers, Nick Shore won 4-of-10, Trevor Lewis won 6-of-11, Nic Dowd won 5-of-12 and Jeff Carter won 19-of-28.
