November 15 postgame quotes: Dwight King

Dwight King, on what needs to be “cleaned up” after the 4-1 loss:
Honestly it was kind of one shift that changed their momentum. They had two quick goals. We battled back a little bit. I think we just need to be a little more cognitive of the momentum swings in games and being prepared on every shift. There weren’t like huge breakdowns but there were timely ones that we couldn’t find a way out of.

King, on whether it’s possible to sustain the third period push, or whether score effects and changes in the attack lead to an increase of chances:
No, well I think most games they both change, like momentum of shift from team to team, but obviously the more desperate team usually in the third period has more of the momentum but all that comes from pretty much forecheck for us and puck possession. If we can do that early in a game obviously it’s gonna help us and maybe get us ahead instead of chasing all the time.

King, on the five-game road trip:
It wasn’t great. Obviously we didn’t get enough points, but you just gotta keep building. Besides tonight and Montreal defensively we didn’t give up a ton of goals but it’s a lesson of coming to play every night, every shift that we gotta take away.
