On losing late after leading the majority of the game:
Just playing, when you play that hard and don’t get anything out of it. [Reporter: Do you feel like you let them hang around?] We played as good as we could. A little understaffed in the third period. We had chances to go, Kopitar had a breakaway in the second, probably could go up two. You know they’re going to come hard in the third. They’ve got a lot of forwards that drive hard and both the goals they scored we’ve got defensemen laying around the net. We lost a couple battles there.
On whether there were any updates on Zatkoff and Kopitar:
Zatkoff pulled himself after the second period, I don’t know … what it is. Kopi banged up, came back and tried, played a shift after.
On if the team played differently with Budaj in goal in the third period:
No. Today? Tonight? No.
On the game overall:
We played good. We played last night. Played as good as we could. Need the goalie to – can’t expect Budaj to play every game. It’s a tough situation for him to come in.
On the possibility of Zatkoff being injured on sprawling save in the second period:
I don’t remember, quite honest, I don’t remember.
On whether Kopitar is traveling with the team to Winnipeg:
We’re going right away, we’re going tonight. [Reporter: It’s not serious enough where he … (trails off)] I couldn’t tell you. … He came back and tried to play. He’s the kind of guy that’s gonna try to play.
