October 18 postgame notes

-With the loss, the Kings fell to 25-19-13 all-time against the Wild, a record that includes a 12-10-7 road mark. Minnesota has points in five straight games against Los Angeles (4-0-1) and is now 9-3-2 in the series’ last 14 games, dating back to March 31, 2012. The Wild have points in 17 of the series’ last 21 games (13-4-4) at Xcel Energy Center. These teams will meet on January 7 in Los Angeles before concluding their season series on February 27 in St. Paul.

-All forwards on Minnesota registered at least one point except for Eric Staal and Jason Zucker.

-By scoring in the third period, Anze Kopitar (244 career goals) is two goals from tying Wayne Gretzky (246 goals) for sixth place on the Kings’ all-time list.

-No Los Angeles forward was credited with a blocked shot (Forbort x2, McNabb, Martinez).

-In his season debut, Tanner Pearson scored twice and registered a +1 rating in 16:09 of ice time. He took eight shot attempts, four of which were on net, and registered one hit.

-Tom Gilbert registered an assist in his Kings debut and finished with a -1 rating, one shot on goal and one hit in 18:59 of ice time.

-In his season debut, Nic Dowd registered a -2 rating and was credited with one hit in 9:03 of ice time.

-Devin Setoguchi (0-1=1) registered his first point as a King on Tanner Pearson’s second goalo.

-Los Angeles attempted 72 shots (30 on goal, 25 blocked, 17 missed). Minnesota attempted 35 shots (26 on goal, 4 blocked, 5 missed).
-The Kings won 40-of-77 faceoffs. Anze Kopitar was 14-for-30, Andy Andreoff was 0-for-1, Nick Shore was 8-for-18, Nic Dowd was 6-for-9, Dwight King was 1-for-2 and Jeff Carter was 11-for-17.
