Reign announce opening roster; Budaj to L.A.

The Reign have announced their opening roster late Thursday afternoon and it is as follows:

Goalie:
Jack Campbell

Forwards:
Brett Sutter, Paul Bissonnette, Sam Herr, Mike Amadio, Justin Auger, Joel Lowry, Jonny Brodzinski, Sean Backman, Andrew Crescenzi, Patrick Bjorkstrand, T.J. Hensick, Adrian Kempe, Michael Mersch, and Michael Latta

Defensemen:
Rob Scuderi, Zach Trotman, Kurtis MacDermid, Paul LaDue, Kevin Gravel, Erik Cernak, Vincent LoVerde and Alex Lintuniemi

Earlier in the day the Reign lost goalie Peter Budaj after he was recalled by the Kings due to the injury to Jonathan Quick. As a result, the Reign are currently left with just one goalie in Campbell. A corresponding move will be expected before Ontario’s opener this Saturday at San Diego, a 7 p.m. start. Jack Flinn could be an option as he was just recently assigned to Manchester but a team source said no decision has been made yet.

Other moves made Thursday were defenseman Damir Sharipzianov and forward Justin Gutierrez being officially loaned to Manchester.
