Some injury notes: Paul LaDue missed the two rookie games in Arizona with a mild groin strain; I’m told that he was basically just taking a couple days off for “maintenance” and that he could’ve played in both games against the Coyotes. Kale Clague suffered a lower-body injury in the second game against the Coyotes, though a preliminary sense is that it’s not particularly serious. He should need “a little bit of time” to recover, Mike Stothers said after Wednesday’s game. Spencer Watson underwent wrist surgery in the off-season and is most likely bound for an over-age OHL season when he recovers; he’s looking at a return sometime around late December. UPDATE: Paul LaDue is skating this morning with Group A.
