March 21 postgame notes

-With the loss, Los Angeles fell to 31-25-8 all-time against Nashville, a record that includes a road mark of 16-11-5.

-The Kings fell to 24-14-2 against the Western Conference and 10-5-2 against the Central Division.

-Los Angeles’ four-game win streak and seven-game point streak (6-0-1) was snapped in the 5-2 loss.

-The Kings fell to 6-6-0 on the first night of back-to-back sets. The after this back-to-back concludes in Minnesota on Tuesday, the final back-to-back of the season will take place on April 4 and 5 in Vancouver and Calgary. Los Angeles is 9-1-1 on the second half of back-to-back sets.

-With two assists, Anze Kopitar now has points in six straight games (4-5=9). He has 15 points (6-9=15) in the last 11 games. With a +1 rating, his +32 rating puts him in sole possession of the top plus-minus in the league.

-With his 46th point of the night, Drew Doughty tied his point total from last season, which is tied for the second highest point total of his career. With 14 goals, he is two goals behind his career high of 16, set in 2009-10. In the 27 games since January 24, he has seven goals, 22 points and a +9 rating.

-With his 10th goal of the season, Alec Martinez moved within one goal of his career-high of 11, set in 2013-14.

-Nick Shore played in his 99th career game.

-The Kings attempted 59 shots (30 on goal, 17 blocked, 12 missed). The Predators attempted 43 shots (30 on goal, 4 blocked, 9 missed). Of L.A.’s four blocked shots, the only defenseman to be credited with one was Jake Muzzin. Muzzin (4 on goal, 3 blocked, 2 missed) and Doughty (5 on goal, 3 blocked, 1 missed) finished tied with a game-high nine shot attempts.

-Los Angeles won 28-of-60 faceoffs (47%). Anze Kopitar won 12-of-21, Nick Shore won 7-of-11, Vincent Lecavalier won 4-of-11 and Jeff Carter won 5-of-17.
