February 27 postgame quotes: Scuderi, Pearson

Rob Scuderi, on how he felt in his first game back in a Kings uniform:
It felt pretty natural, given the way that they play my style, I think it’s a pretty good fit. I thought it was one good game, and the idea is to do it continually over the course of time.

Scuderi, on how he feels pitching in with an assist:
Yeah, certainly points is not going to be my forte, but any time you can chip in and help out it’s always a good feeling. More importantly, I thought it was a tough win, Buffalo played well, it was a bit of a grind for a while, but good teams find a way to win.

Scuderi, on the team’s quick turnaround to face the Ducks Sunday:
I think have a big start, usually that’s the best way to get yourself going, especially in a road rink, to take some of the air out of the building to have a good first five and ten minutes, it goes a long way I think.

Scuderi, on if he was feeling any emotions during the video tribute played during the first period:
It was pretty good, I’m not an overly emotional guy, I don’t show a whole lot, but it was pretty special. Like I said, I was looking for an opportunity to go to the NHL, it’s a privilege to play in this league, but it made it a lot sweeter to come back to the Kings, so it really meant a lot, I appreciated it.

Tanner Pearson, on Jhonas Enroth’s shutout performance:
He definitely did his thing tonight, he definitely stood on his head for us today.

Pearson, on what’s been clicking for him in his recent offensive resurgence:
Yeah, going back to the road trip, you know being healthy scratched and then looking over things, it kind of helped to get back my game where it should be, and that was a result of going to the net hard both times, and just bearing down on my chances and scoring.

Pearson, on his positioning for the rebound on his second goal:
It’s just on your stick and you want to get it back to the net as quick as possible, I was kind of scared because I heard both posts go, but it wasn’t until I saw it go past the goalie that I saw it was in.

Pearson, on how he thought Scuderi fit into the Kings’ system:
I think Scuds picked up where he left off, we welcomed him back with open arms and he did his thing tonight.

Pearson, on how he’s mentally preparing for Sunday’s game against Anaheim:
I think both clubs know how big it is, it’s definitely a four-point game. Us three with San Jose in the mix is pretty close right now, so every point counts for sure.

Pearson, on not letting disallowed goals shut down their momentum:
Yeah, unfortunate call on Brown, it was a good play, but I think our penalty kill was strong tonight and we showed that for sure.
