On whether he liked what he saw on Saturday after the Christmas break:
I thought we were really good, right from the start. I thought we played really well, but we got screwed, for the lack of a better word.
On whether Jake Muzzin’s match penalty will be rescinded:
Well, it should be. You know what? I don’t even know how to answer it, because it wasn’t a penalty, and quite honest, you should know, instead of everybody asking, the league says right away whether there’s a hearing. You guys hear it before we do. It’s a bad call. It’s exactly what I said. They got a point because of a bad call. Three biggest things that affect making the playoffs – scheduling, injuries, officiating. We got all three last game.
On the second game after the Christmas break:
It’s a different opponent than the last game. It’s not much different. What would we want to do differently? [Reporter: What has stuck out with you the way the Canucks have been this year?] It’s not ‘this year,’ it’s Willie came in last year, and there’s certainly a difference in attitude and style of play because of the change of coach.
