December 26 postgame notes

-With the win, Los Angeles improved to 84-98-33 all-time against the Arizona franchise, a record that features an away mark of 37-54-17. The Kings improved to 1-2-0 in the season series, with games remaining in Glendale on January 23 and February 2.

-Los Angeles improved to 11-6-0 against the Western Conference and 5-5-0 against the Pacific Division. The Kings are 1-1-0 over a stretch of five consecutive games against the Pacific Division (L vs SJS, W @ ARI, 12/28 @ VAN, 12/29 @ EDM, 12/31 @ CGY).

-Los Angeles improved to 9-7-1 when allowing the first goal and leads the league with five wins when entering the third period trailing (5-8-0).

-By recording his 216th career assist, Drew Doughty moved into a tie with Steve Duchesne for third place on the franchise’s all-time list of assists by a Kings defenseman. Doughty’s 33:24 TOI was a season high and the most ice time logged since he earned 33:34 of ice time in a 5-4 shootout loss to Winnipeg on January 10, 2015.

-Anze Kopitar’s 27:41 of ice time was a regular season career-high. He scored his seventh career overtime goal, third overtime goal of the season, third game-winning goal of the season and the 33rd game-winning goal of his career.

-Nick Shore’s 15:54 of ice time was a career-high.

-Milan Lucic played the 600th game of his career.

-Los Angeles attempted 66 shots (33 on goal, 16 blocked, 17 missed). Arizona attempted 59 shots (26 on goal, 15 blocked, 18 missed). Dustin Brown and Oliver Ekman-Larsson tied with a game-high six shots on goal, while Ekman-Larsson led all skaters with 12 shot attempts (6 on goal, 3 blocked, 3 missed).

-The Kings won 25-of-62 faceoffs (40%). Among regular performers, Anze Kopitar won 12-of-27 faceoffs, Andy Andreoff won 2-of-6, Nick Shore won 7-of-18, Trevor Lewis won 2-of-5, and Jeff Carter won 0-of-2.
