On Arizona’s youth beyond Max Domi and Anthony Duclair:
I think a lot of it’s still driven by the middle of their ice and the star defenseman. I don’t think their young players are any different than ours. They have players like Toffoli, players like Pearson. I wouldn’t say there’s much difference. I mean, what’s ‘young?’
On a regular morning skate after three days off:
Just get the 20 minutes in. No sense wasting energy for tonight. Doesn’t serve much purpose, I don’t think.
On whether there is any different approach or need to “simplify” in the first game back:
Actually, I like playing on the road in that type of situation, quite honest, because that’s when you have to count on everybody, and you need to play a simple, straight ahead game. You’re not going to surprise anybody X and O’s wise, or anything like that, especially when you play teams so much.
On looking to cut down goals against without the benefit of having skated since Tuesday:
Well, we’re capable of doing that, Jon, as you should be well aware of. Good defensive play for us lately starts with our goalies and works out.
