Fan-Friendly events to kick-off 2015-’16 season

In anticipation of the upcoming NHL campaign, the Los Angeles Kings are hosting several different off-ice and on-ice events leading up to the start of the 2015-16 NHL season.

“The Kings are excited to take this opportunity to engage with our fans and to help raise money and awareness for several great causes,” said Kings President, Business Operations Luc Robitaille. “We are looking forward to making an impact here and we are looking forward to the start of the hockey season.”

On the ice, the Kings will host two Rookie Games against the Arizona Coyotes at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo to conclude their 2015 Rookie Camp. Ticketing information for those two games – September 15 at 6 p.m. and September 16 at 2 p.m. – will be announced at a later date. Prior to these games, on-ice Rookie Camp sessions will be open to the public. Camp details, including roster, are scheduled to be released early next month.

The Kings open their full 2015 Training Camp on September 18. All on-ice sessions are free to the public. One week later the new LA Kings High School Hockey League officially begins plays with the initial set of games taking place the weekend of September 25 and 26 at various local ice rinks.

The Kings begin the 2015-16 regular season at home on October 7 at STAPLES Center versus the San Jose Sharks beginning at 7:30 p.m. After the Kings conclude their five-game homestand, the club will host their annual Golf Tournament on October 20 at Pacific Palms Conference Resort in City of Industry. Spots are still available for purchase with proceeds benefiting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
