That Bissonnette would return to the Kings’ top affiliate appeared to be in the cards based on conversations I had with hockey operations shortly after the Monarchs’ Calder Cup win. The veteran of 202 NHL games was a unifying team leader and steadying veteran presence in Manchester’s dressing room despite occupying a depth role with the club.
