Reports: Sekera signs with Edmonton

Via multiple reports, Andrej Sekera has signed with the Edmonton Oilers:

With a $5.5-million average annual value, the Kings were all but out of the running for his services when they traded for Milan Lucic, as was hinted by Dean Lombardi at the time.

The Kings acquired Sekera for the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for a 2016 first round draft pick and defensive prospect Roland McKeown on February 25. In 16 games with the Kings prior to suffering a lower-body injury, Sekera totaled one goal, four points and a plus-four rating. In 486 career NHL games with Buffalo, Carolina and Los Angeles, the versatile left-shooting defenseman has 31 goals, 159 points and a plus-seven rating.
