March 26 postgame quotes: Darryl Sutter

On whether the game was decided by two “great players” connecting on a big goal:
I thought it was a really solid game right through. That’s what it was. It wasn’t about an individual, that’s for sure.

On Anze Kopitar scoring as part of a strong five-man unit:
I thought the line was really good. Other than parts of the second period, I thought they were really good.

On what the Kings did well to neutralize the Islanders’ fourth line:
Well, they didn’t always play as a line, did they?

On Nick Shore matching his quality minutes with production:
Quality is production. That’s what quality is, is production. If you’re playing with Brown and Lewis, we need production out of those guys. All three had a hard time with the offense part of it for quite a while now. All three of ‘em, so we need them to produce for us to win hockey games. That’s clear.

On gaining momentum after the five-on-three:
There were some momentum shifts during the game, if you look at it, meaning big shifts that gave you momentum. I think that obviously the first period we had a lot of shifts that kept us real energized, and then after the five-on-three, to score was a big momentum goal for you. Shorthanded is a momentum for you, even though they came back and scored, and I think we had some shifts after it was two-two that were really good momentum shifts too, until we finally did find a way to score.
