March 1 postgame quotes: Jeff Carter

On whether there was some extra physicality in the game:
I think Cliffy, Andy, Nolan and Nabber, they did a good job for us of getting in there and creating battles and forechecks, scrums and whatnot. Those guys did a good job, I thought, tonight. We need a little more out of everyone else in that aspect. Get dirty and get in the corners and get to the front of the net and win some battles like that.

On whether Winnipeg is a tougher team to play against than in previous meetings:
Yeah, they’re a good team. They’re where they are for a reason. Big, fast, physical and they play really well at home. It seems like every time we play them, it’s a tough game. You know you’re into one and you know you’re going to get hit and you have to work for everything you get against them.

On whether handling Winnipeg’s forecheck was a challenge:
They’re a strong forechecking team. I said it earlier, we got away from what we were doing when we were on a little bit of a roll and that was a big part of it tonight.

On whether they put enough pressure on Michael Hutchinson:
No. [Reporter: What do you see in his game?] He’s a good goalie, big guy, not much to shoot at. It seems like, at least against us, he’s handled his rebounds pretty well.
