December 9 postgame notes

-With the loss, the Kings fell to 42-56-19 all-time against the Sabres, a record that includes an away mark of 16-32-10. Los Angeles is 1-11-1 with a tie in its last 13 visits to Buffalo and has been outscored 30-8 in its six-game road losing streak at the First Niagara Center.

-The Kings fell to 5-5-2 against the Eastern Conference and 3-2-0 against the Atlantic Division.

-Los Angeles was shut out for the fourth time this season (vs SJS, @ PIT, vs DAL, @ BUF). The shutout was the fourth of Jhonas Enroth’s career.

-Though the Kings have averaged 2.86 goals per game over their last 14 games (40 G / 14 GP), they have scored only one goal over their last two games.

-Los Angeles dropped its second consecutive game when allowing two goals or less, falling to 14-3-1 on the season when doing so.

-The Kings are 2-for-21 on the power play over the last seven games.

-Justin Williams and Jarret Stoll’s two-game point streaks were snapped.

-Jeff Carter has one point (0-1=1) in the last nine games, and Tyler Toffoli has two points (2-0=2) in the last 10 games.

-All Kings other than Mike Richards and Matt Greene attempted a shot on goal. Dwight King recorded a game-high four shots on goal, while no Sabre finished with more than two shots on goal.

-Alec Martinez recorded 22:35 of ice time, his highest total since returning from a finger injury.

-Nikita Zadorov, Tyler Myers and Josh Gorges finished tied with a game-high four blocked shots. Drew Doughty led Los Angeles with three blocked shots.

-The Kings attempted 70 shots (34 on goal, 25 blocked, 11 missed). The Sabres attempted 23 shots (16 on goal, 6 blocked, 1 missed).

-Los Angeles won 26 of 53 faceoffs (49%). Among regular performers, Mike Richards won 4-of-7, Anze Kopitar won 5-of-16, Trevor Lewis won 0-of-2, Jarret Stoll won 10-of-16 and Jeff Carter won 7-of-12.
