December 4 postgame quotes: Martin Jones

On whether he felt he made some key saves in the game:
There are always key moments in a game I think. But, like I said, we did a good job of eliminating the top Grade-A scoring chances and [I was] able to see a lot of pucks that I expect myself to stop.

On recording his sixth shutout in 24 career starts:
I try not to look at shutouts too much, more of the process than anything else. I’ve just got to continue to work on my game and there is definitely some stuff I can clean up and continue to get better here.

On how close the game was to a perfect road effort:
It was a solid game. There is obviously some stuff that we want to clean up, but it was a really solid, complete game for us. We did a really good job on the forecheck and also in our own zone and defending. I thought it was a really good game for us tonight.

On how important earning a shutout is with a four-goal lead:
It’s not, I guess. Obviously you want to finish the game strong and play a full 60 minutes, but we’re happy to get the win no matter how we get it.

On whether he felt like he was in control against Arizona’s offensive push:
They did a pretty good job of getting pucks and bodies to the net and creating a little bit of havoc. Those are just compete situations where you’re trying to take away the bottom of the net and fight for loose pucks, but obviously that was a big moment in the game when Brownie came down and scored that one.
