December 4 morning skate notes - LA Kings Insider

Good morning from Glendale, where morning rain showers have given way to partly cloudy skies and slightly warmer temperatures.

The Kings held an optional morning skate inside Gila River Arena today, so no real line rushes were held. For an indication of the lines that may be used today, here’s your reference. Jamie McBain and Andy Andreoff remained on the ice for extra work, so they’re likely tonight’s scratches.

Also remaining on the ice for extra work: Jonathan Quick. Martin Jones left the ice first during the morning skate and is projected as tonight’s starter against the Coyotes, whom the Kings haven’t beaten on the road since the fourth game of the 2012-13 season. I’ll have a story on Los Angeles’ road woes against Arizona coming up, as well as Darryl Sutter quotes and piece on Drew Doughty. Lots more to come from the desert.
