November 22 postgame notes

-With the loss, Los Angeles fell to 84-101-40 all-time against the Dallas/Minnesota franchise, a record that includes a road mark of 34-61-18. With their win Saturday, the Stars won the season series, 2-1. The Kings lost the season series with Dallas for the third consecutive year. The last time Los Angeles lost the season series three years in a row to Dallas was 1996-00 (four straight years).

-The Kings fell to 7-3-2 against the Western Conference and 4-2-0 against the Central Division.

-With a 4-for-6 penalty killing performance, Los Angeles moved to 24-of-33 on the penalty kill away from Staples Center this season (72.7%).

-Drew Doughty (0-4=4 in the last four) and Jake Muzzin (0-5=5) in the last four extended their assist streaks to four games. Muzzin has 10 points (1-9=10) in the last eight games.

-With two goals, Justin Williams has points in four straight games (2-3=5).

-Drew Doughty’s 33:07 time on ice was his highest regular season total since he registered 33:25 in a 2-1 overtime loss to Edmonton on January 24, 2013. He has logged at least 30 minutes of ice time in seven of the last nine games and with a 28:58 ice time average trails Ryan Suter for the highest ice time average in the league by 21 seconds.

-Justin Williams, Tanner Pearson and Tyler Seguin tied with a game-high five shots on goal. Drew Doughty led all skaters with nine shot attempts.

-Mike Richards played his 200th consecutive regular season game. He has recorded points in all 11 of his trips to the American Airlines Center, totaling three goals and 15 points.

-Darryl Sutter coached his 200th regular season game with the Kings.

-Jonathan Quick lost in regulation for the first time in eight games (5-1-2).

-Los Angeles attempted 71 shots (41 on goal, 14 blocked, 16 missed). Dallas attempted 48 shots (23 on goal, 11 blocked, 14 missed).

-The Kings won 31-of-69 faceoffs (45%). Among regular performers, Mike Richards won 9-of-22, Anze Kopitar won 7-of-12, Trevor Lewis won 0-of-1, Jarret Stoll won 8-of-21, and Jeff Carter won 7-of-12.

Sunday, November 23 is an off-day for the Kings.
