November 6 postgame notes

-With the shootout loss, the Kings fell to 44-42-14 all-time against the Islanders, a record that includes a home mark of 25-17-8. New York won for the first time in Los Angeles since February 15, 2003.

-The Kings fell to 2-3-2 against the Eastern Conference and 1-2-2 against the Metropolitan Division.

-Los Angeles lost for the first time when allowing two goals or less, falling to 7-0-1.

-The Kings have points in seven straight home games (6-0-1) between October 12 and November 6.

-Justin Williams’ club-leading streak of 225 consecutive games played was snapped. Mike Richards appeared in his 193rd consecutive game and is now the club’s active Iron Man.

-Jeff Carter was held without a point for the sixth consecutive game. The six-game point-less streak ties a career-long, set between October 10, 2011 and November 17, 2011 (interrupted by injury) with Columbus, and January 5, 2006 and January 14, 2006 with Philadelphia.

-Mike Richards is on a four-game point streak (1-3=4).

-Tanner Pearson has an even-or-better rating in all 14 games this season.

-Dwight King (1-0=1) has points in back-to back games (1-1=2) and three points (1-2=3) in his last four games.

-Jonathan Quick ranks third in the NHL with a .943 save percentage and eighth in the NHL with a 1.93 goals-against average. He leads the league in shots against (405) and saves (382).

-Jake Muzzin led all skaters with 11 shot attempts (five on goal, four attempts blocked, two missed). He tied with a game-high three blocked shots.

-Marian Gaborik did not record a shot attempt.

-Los Angeles won 33-of-55 faceoffs (60%). Among regular performers, Mike Richards won 6-of-15, Anze Kopitar won 10-of-17, Jarret Stoll won 11-of-15, and Jeff Carter won 6-of-8.

-The Kings attempted 62 shots (29 on goal, 18 blocked, 15 missed). The Islanders attempted 57 shots (26 on goal, 11 blocked, 20 missed).

The Kings are scheduled to practice at 11:00 a.m. at Toyota Sports Center on Friday, November 7.
