On whether the Kings were “chasing the game”:
No, I think we did a lot of good things. Goal at the end of the first, late first, and early second. Took a penalty on a faceoff early in the second. Don’t have to take that penalty, and it’s the difference in the game. We have trouble scoring, so just about every mistake you make is magnified. We weren’t “chasing the game.” I thought we played a really good game.
On Anze Kopitar and Marian Gaborik’s returns:
I thought [Kopitar] had his moments, and I’m sure he’s going to tell you that, too. Gaborik hadn’t played for [Reporter: Since the third game of the season.] Yeah. So I think as he went on, he had a tough time. I think Kopi, he’s going to tell you it was up and down, but he was really strong on draws and he was good killing penalties, and he looked good on the point on the power play.
On whether the even strength scoring challenge is due to not scoring on second and third opportunities:
We’ve got a lot of guys that haven’t scored this year.
On whether Jordan Nolan’s suspension was justified:
I think I said…what I thought. There was nothing towards the head, nothing towards charging into it. You know what? We just make courtesy calls and they rule on it.
