Southern California’s Week of Stanley continued with a second parade honoring the Los Angeles Kings. After having celebrated with a downtown crowd estimated to be in the range of 300,000 on Monday, the team returned to its South Bay roots on Wednesday to take part in a procession through the streets of Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach – a trek that included a jam packed pep rally as it made its way through the legendary Strand in Hermosa Beach. With the vast majority of the players and staff calling the South Bay beach cities home, it was many of their friends and neighbors that were on hand to celebrate the club’s second Stanley Cup in three years.
The parade finished at the Strand House restaurant near the Manhattan Beach Pier, where Dustin Brown, Jarret Stoll, Justin Williams and Luc Robitaille addressed a massive crowd on hand.
