Audio: Nickson’s call of Martinez’s Cup clincher

ROYALTY REIGNS AGAIN IN THE NHL. Broadcasters will tell you that for a series clincher – or that for any overtime goal, really – that they hope that it’s a clean goal, easy to pinpoint and articulate, and that there isn’t an obstructed view of the puck crossing the goal line. That’s exactly what happened when Alec Martinez put back the rebound of a hard, low Tyler Toffoli shot 14:43 into double overtime, and Nick Nickson nailed it with the call.
