June 11 postgame notes

-With the loss, Los Angeles fell to 109-136 all-time in the playoffs, a record that includes an away mark of 48-81.

-The Kings are 4-6 all-time against the Rangers in the playoffs (3-2 home, 1-4 road).

-Los Angeles fell to 12-29 all-time in Game 4s. When losing Game 4, they have won nine of 28 series.

-The Kings have won all five series in which they held a three-one lead.

-By playing Game 5 on Friday, Los Angeles will set an NHL record by playing its 64th playoff game over a three-year span. The Kings will contest their 26th game of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs in Game 5 of the Final, tying an NHL record. Los Angeles will match the total of the 1987 Philadelphia Flyers and 2004 Calgary Flames, who both dropped seven-game series in the Final.

-The Kings’ streak of scoring at least three goals in nine consecutive games was snapped.

-Los Angeles has scored in 22 of the last 29 regulation periods.

-The Kings fell to 10-1 when not allowing a power play goal.

-New York improved to 11-2 in its last 13 playoff games when facing elimination, including a 5-0 mark in the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Henrik Lundqvist has started all 13 of those games, posting a 1.30 goals-against average, .959 save percentage and two shutouts. The Rangers have won eight consecutive home games when facing elimination, setting an NHL record.

-Los Angeles outshot New York 27-6 after Martin St. Louis’s goal. The Kings held a 15-1 edge in shots
in the third period, including a 9-0 advantage until the Rangers recorded their first and only shot at 12:39 in.

-Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final will mark the 93rd game of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs, surpassing the previous high of 92 set in 1991.

-Benoit Pouliot’s deflection at 7:25 of the first period ended the Rangers’ goal drought at 123:01. The

-Dustin Brown has eight points (4-4=8) in the last eight games.

-Justin Williams’ five-game point streak was snapped.

-Dustin Brown became the first King to register two goals in the Stanley Cup Final.

-Los Angeles attempted 71 shots (41 on goal, 20 attempts blocked, 10 missed). New York attempted 48 shots (19 on goal, 15 attempts blocked, 14 missed).

-The Kings won 41-of-65 faceoffs (63%). Among regular performers, Mike Richards won 5-of-9, Anze Kopitar won 13-of-22, Jarret Stoll won 11-of-18 and Jeff Carter won 11-of-15.

It has not been announced whether the Kings will practice on Thursday, June 12.
