May 28 postgame quotes: Justin Williams

On Chicago’s play in the third period:
It is what it is, and we knew what we were up against. We also know what’s possible the next two games. We’re going home to try and win a game. Instead of being deflated, we’re looking forward to it.

On Chicago getting off to good starts in the first, third and second overtime periods:
I don’t know. It’s win or go home for them. It’s desperation time. We tried to match that as best we could and we just fell a bit short in overtime.

On the feeling on the ice during the eight minutes of uninterrupted play in the first overtime:
We were into it. Everyone is into it. We weren’t even sitting down on the bench, most of us. This is an exciting time of year. It was an exciting game and unfortunate that we came out on the losing end. But as I said, we have a great opportunity coming home.

On the team’s resiliency:
It’s not easy. Obtaining your ultimate goal is never easy. We’re going to do our best to get it done back at Staples Center.
