December 28 postgame notes

With the loss, Los Angeles fell to 29-23-6 all-time against Nashville, and 15-10-4 on the road. The Kings finish finished the season series against Nashville with a 1-2-0 record.

Los Angeles is 5-5-1 against the Central Division and 20-5-3 against all other teams.

The last game in which the Kings earned more power plays than their opponents was on December 7, a 3-0 win over the New York Islanders. The Kings have been faced with at least four shorthanded situations in each of the last four games and eight of the last 11 games.

Anze Kopitar’s power play goal ended an 0-for-10 power play streak.

Dustin Brown hasn’t recorded a point on the power play in 26 games.

Jeff Carter finished with a game-high six shots. He has 19 points (11-8=19) in 16 career games against Nashville.

Willie Mitchell logged 20:25 in his return to the lineup.

Nashville was credited with 19 blocked shots. Roman Josi finished with a game-high five blocks.

10 of Nashville’s 31 shots were recorded on the power play.

The Kings won 22-of-46 faceoffs. Amongst regular performers, Mike Richards won 4-of-9, Anze Kopitar won 6-of-10, Jarret Stoll won 6-of-16, and Jeff Carter won 6-of-11.
