Well, we started the second period four-on-four, and then we’re short three minutes. So obviously against teams that are so closely matched, that’s probably the difference in the game there.
On the team’s confidence growing after scoring several goals:
I don’t think our team ever really struggles with confidence. I mean, it doesn’t really matter what the score is. I don’t think confidence is an issue for our team.
On Tyler Toffoli being prouder of his pass to set up Martinez’s goal than his own goal:
He scored a big goal. That’s good. [Reporter: Can’t shoot the puck much better than that, can you?] Got to shoot more. He hasn’t been scoring much recently.
On whether Martin Jones’ approach embodies the team’s park-and-ride mentality:
That’s our team. You asked that this morning, and as I told you before, these young guys that come up, they are expected to play that way, otherwise they don’t get to play.
