Thomas Hickey, selected fourth overall by Los Angeles in the 2007 NHL Draft, has found a home with the New York Islanders since being claimed off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings prior to the start of the 2012-13 season. Through the first 19 games of the 2013-14 season he has posted one goal, four points, and has seen an increase in his time on ice to an average of 18:01 per game.
Hickey, who played 212 games with the Manchester Monarchs prior to joining the Islanders, spoke about his pride in seeing several of his former teammates graduate to the National Hockey League amongst a variety of other topics. He’s excited for tonight’s game.
