Good morning, St. Paul

Good morning, St. Paul. Good morning, 2013-14 Los Angeles Kings season.

Was anybody else as excited for this post as I was?

The season opener is upon us, and for one day we’re not talking statistics, or season series, or trends over X amount of games. The slate has been wiped clean, last year’s accomplishments mean little, and two very good hockey teams will meet tonight in a supercharged environment in one of the league’s premier hockey markets. It is time to preview, watch and analyze regular season NHL hockey, not the NHL Draft, not the free agent market or development camp or potential trades or award voting.

Good morning, St. Paul. Good morning, sliver of the Mississippi River visible from the ninth floor of the team hotel. Good morning, Munters units.
