May 16 postgame quotes: Trevor Lewis

On the Game 2 win:
“Yeah. I think the first two periods we didn’t play our game. We were a little sloppy and a little slow. In the third period we kind of picked it up. They got up, but we fought back and got some power plays at the end there. The power play was huge tonight, and Quickie was great for us.”

On how the playoffs have been for him personally:
“It’s typical playoffs. It’s a grind and go. Our line tries to get energy. I know we haven’t played our best hockey this series yet, so we’ve got to really focus and bear down and get back to our game.”

On what he has been working at improving in this playoff series:
“Just being good on the walls, getting energy for the guys and chipping in when I can.”

On whether he has ever gone on YouTube to watch Kings highlights of the Miracle on Manchester or the Frenzy on Figueroa:
“I mean, I’ve seen clips of it. I don’t really go on YouTube to watch it, but yeah, I’ve definitely seen it.”

On whether he’s able to admire the comeback against San Jose from a historical standpoint:
“I mean, I just think our power play was big tonight, the special teams you need in playoffs. Our power play was great. But we know we didn’t play our best hockey and we’ve got to refocus here and we know they’re good in their building, so we’ve got to come out and be a lot stronger than we have been.”

On what Brad Richardson provided to the line:
“A lot of energy. He makes great plays. I mean, that pass he made to Doughty for that goal was unbelievable. Yeah, he was great. He’s strong. Kind of a little pest to play against. He brought a lot of energy for us.”

On Tyler Toffoli’s performance:
“He was great tonight. He was a big player for us. He was one of our best players for us. He’s 20-years-old. That’s pretty good.”

On his game-winning goal:
“I think that was Toff’s play where he made a great shot off the pad there. I just kind of tapped it in and then almost passed out in the celebration.”
