May 8 postgame notes

-The Kings won their first road game since a 3-2 win over Dallas on March 31. The win snapped an 0-6-2 road streak.
-The Kings improved to 23-23 all-time in playoff overtime. They are 1-1 all-time against St. Louis in playoff overtime, with both games taking part in this series.
-The Kings improved to 15-12 all-time in Game 5s and improved to 7-4 all-time when a best-of-seven series was tied 2-2.
-The Kings are 6-1 all time when leading 3-2 in a playoff series.
-The Kings are 12-10 all-time with an opportunity to clinch a series.
-The last overtime goal scored by a Kings defenseman in the playoffs was Jaroslav Modry’s goal on April 26, 2001 in a 4-3 win at Colorado in Game 1 of the 2001 Western Conference Semifinals.
-St. Louis out-hit Los Angeles 41-30. Vladimir Sobotka was credited with a game-high eight hits. Jarret Stoll led the Kings with four hits.
-The Kings won 32-of-64 faceoffs (50%). Jarret Stoll (11-for-18) was the top performer, while Colin Fraser (0-for-4) did not win a faceoff. For St. Louis, David Backes (13-of-21) was the top performer, while Vladimir Sobotka (7-of-15) and Patrik Berglund (8-of-17) were the only two players to take more than two faceoffs who finished below 50%.
-Drew Doughty finished with a career-high 33:37 of ice time. Alex Pietrangelo led St. Louis with 29:07 of ice time.
-Tyler Toffoli was credited with 10:39 of ice time in his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut.
