Projected lineups and notes from Saturday’s morning skate at Staples Center:
Projected Lines – Los Angeles
Dustin Brown – Anze Kopitar – Justin Williams
Dwight King – Mike Richards – Jeff Carter
Dustin Penner – Jarret Stoll – Trevor Lewis
Kyle Clifford – Colin Fraser – Jordan Nolan
Robyn Regehr – Drew Doughty
Jake Muzzin – Slava Voynov
Rob Scuderi – Alec Martinez
Jonathan Quick
Jonathan Bernier
-Projections are based on line rushes from the morning skate. Matt Greene was the last player off the ice and is unlikely to play. Alec Martinez and Keaton Ellerby left the ice at relatively the same time; because Martinez was paired with Scuderi and Ellerby with Greene, expect Martinez to play. Martinez’s last game came in a 3-1 loss at Phoenix on April 2; he was a minus-3 in 14:27 of ice time. There may be some adjustments, and players on the left wing may move up or down a line, depending on the situation. “We’re all interchangeable,” Kyle Clifford said. “On any given night, we can all be that grinder, that energy guy, or that goal scorer.”
Projected Lines – St. Louis
Jaden Schwartz – David Backes – Alex Steen
Vladimir Sobotka – Andy McDonald – Chris Stewart
David Perron – Patrik Berglund – T.J. Oshie
Adam Cracknell – Chris Porter – Ryan Reeves
Jay Bouwmeester – Alex Pietrangelo
Jordan Leopold – Kevin Shattenkirk
Barret Jackman – Roman Polak
Brian Elliott
Jaroslav Halak
-No changes are expected in St. Louis’ lines. St. Louis recorded 38 hits in each of the first two games of the series. Dating back to last year’s series, the Blues have logged at least 38 hits in four consecutive playoff games against the Kings. St. Louis is 10-0 all time when taking a 2-0 series lead.
