On the team remaining even keel:
“Just keep playing well and hopefully score more than one goal. It’s tough to win one-nothing.”
On whether the team is “angry” or “frustrated” with itself:
“I don’t think either. I think we’re getting ready for tomorrow. I don’t think either one of those is good traits to use going into a game.”
On what home-ice will provide:
“Well obviously our crowd is an advantage. Every home crowd is during the playoffs. That will be fun again.”
On whether there is a sense of “panic” in the locker room:
“No.”
On whether anything different is needed to get the offense going:
“No. You don’t all of a sudden do something different. We’re a good team that’s lost two 2-1 games. We’ll stay the course.”
On whether it’s what the Kings did to themselves rather than what St. Louis did:
“No. They have a very good hockey club. They haven’t played poorly. It’s two close games. We could as easily be sitting here and asking the opposite.”
On whether Jonathan Quick is too hard on himself:
“He would like to have the goal back last night, that’s for sure.”
On whether he’s worried about Quick taking too much of that responsibility:
“No.”
On whether he gets the feeling that the team is starting to “bounce back”:
“I don’t think it’s starting. Again, you’re asking questions that are sort of end-of-the-world questions. It’s really not that.”
On what allows the Kings to maintain their resiliency:
“I think they’ve had some experience with losing and with winning and understanding that when the clock starts, that’s when the game starts, and when the time runs out, the game’s over and you get ready for the next one. That’s part of making the playoffs and part of being able to sustain yourself during the playoffs.”
