On St. Louis’ game-winning goal:
“To be honest, I didn’t see a whole lot. I went back to the bench. I didn’t see how the play developed.”
On the feeling heading into a four-minute overtime power play:
“I mean, we have a chance to win the game, and everybody was focused on doing that. Unfortunately, we gave it up. That obviously shouldn’t happen, and can’t happen. It is what it is. We didn’t play our best hockey, so we’ve got to rebound back in a couple days here and play much better.”
On what the team needs to improve heading into Thursday’s game:
“First of all, special teams. We lost the battle there. Just battles all over the ice. It seems like they were winning lots of those and coming off the boards or out of the piles with the pucks.”
On whether the team felt the game was up for grabs following the late third period goal:
“Yeah, for sure. That’s one shot, and everybody knows in OT anything can happen. We didn’t get it done, and we’ve got to rebound in a couple games.”
On losing in overtime within the context of last year’s playoff run:
“The bottom line, we’ve got to play better. The next game is in two days, so we’ve got to get focused on that.”
